2023: Call for interim government: Presidency reacts
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Presidency has reacted to the call for an interim government to be set up at the end of the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari.</span></h4>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Daily Page recalls that the the founder and Chancellor, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, ABUAD Aare<span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);"> Afe Babalola, had told the Buhari administration to suspend the 2023 general election and appoint an interim government instead in order </span><span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);">to draft a new constitution.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">According to him, the new constitution, to be produced within six months, would tackle insecurity, economic, political and other excruciating ills bedevilling the nation.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Reacting to Afe Babalola&#8217;s call for a drafting of new constitution, Presidency said, in an exclusive chat with channels television.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">&#8220;To the best of my unlearned knowledge, it is not in our constitution for an interim government to be set up,” Adesina said.</span></p>
