2023 election: Peter Obi announces his running mate

<h4><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 16px&semi;">Peter Obi&comma; the presidential aspirant of the Labour Party&comma; has in a press conference on Friday&comma; announced his running mate in view of the  2023 general election&period;<&sol;span><&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter wp-image-28523 size-medium" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;thedailypage&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2022&sol;07&sol;Datti-Baba-Ahmed-300x168&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Peter Obi running mate " width&equals;"300" height&equals;"168" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 16px&semi;">After Doyin Okupe&comma; the occupant of the position submitted a letter of withdrawal  to INEC on Thursday&comma; 7th of July&comma;  2022&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 16px&semi;">He was replaced by Yusuf Baba-Ahmed&comma; founder of Baze University and economist&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 16px&semi;">The new occupant born in Kaduna&comma; a candidate from the All Nigeria People’s Party &lpar;ANPP&rpar;has represented Zaria Federal Constituency in 2003 House of Representatives election&comma; served from 2011 to 2012 as Senator for Kaduna North and was an aspirant for the PDP gubernatorial in Kaduna before backing out in May&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 16px&semi;">After being announced&comma; Baba Ahmed said that he accepted this position  because he believed Nigeria was in trouble and needed rescuing&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 16px&semi;">He also added that Peter Obi was a man of integrity and capacity having achieved so much in the private sector&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;
