Fibroid is a non cancerous growths in the woman’s uterus and can develop during a woman’s childbearing years.
Most times female with Fibroid experience severe abdominal pain and heavy periods.
In fact, Fibroid don’t come with a particular sign and symptoms. It can be in someone’s particular uterus for years without knowing.
Also, Fibroid has no specific cause.
A lot of woman who are married or not married with Fibroid we look pregnant but basically they are not expecting any child.
A lot of ladies with Fibroid feel so bad as some might end up with their uterus or womb removed if the Fibroid case worsen.
We are The Daily Page feel that it’s important to share these stories to let women know that having a fibroid doesn’t means the end of the road of their child bearing or they’re not good enough.
1. Toyin Lawani
Celebrity Fashion designer, stylist, Toyin Lawani opened up about battling with Fibroid in 2015.
According to her, she battled with fibroid for five years.
She disclosed further that she discovered she has fibroid 13 years ago when she was 23 years old.
Sharing her story of harrowing fibroid pain and surgery, she revealed that she wanted to remove her womb.
Despite her battling with fibroid, she was able to birth a son.
2. Halima Abubakar
Nigerian Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar opened up about her battling with Fibroid in 2017.
Having discovered she had fibroid tissues inside her uterus, she went for a surgery in India to remove it
To God be the glory, the surgery was successful and Halima later welcomed a child, a baby boy on the 3rd of April, 2020.
3. Kemi Adetiba
Nigerian award winning multi talented filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba is one of the women who survived Fibroid.
In 2015, she also shared her Fibroid story, according to her, she battled with fibroid for 3 years
Kemi Adetiba was later healed of fibroid and she opened up about it to encourage others.
4. Ini Dima Okojie
Nollywood actress, Ini Dima Okojie on her Instagram page shared a video with her fans about her having Fibroid.
In the video, she revealed that she was diagnosed with Fibroid in 2017.
She stated that the surgery to remove the fibroid was successful and she gave all glory to God.
What we can take from their stories?
From these stories, we can see that Fibroid can happen to any woman through no fault of their own.
Any lady battling with fibroid should know that fibroid case can be defeated with God by our side.
While it is still a sad thing to battle with fibroid, there is reason to have hope that the unwanted tissue will vanish one day and your future pregnancies will bring a child into the world.
