The Federal Government of Nigeria has expressed their concerns about the twenty one (21) day strike notice that has been issued by the Nigerian Medical Association regarding the government’s inability to meet the demands of the striking doctors.
Osaige Ehanire, the Minister of health said that doctors should stops embarking on strikes at dangerous times, as the war with the COVID- 19 pandemic is yet to be over. He appealed to the doctors to call off the strike.
This he said when responding to a question by one of the correspondents on the threat made by the Nigerian Medical Association.
The Minister of health, Osaige Ehanire also revealed that the Nigerian Medical Association and the federal government disagreed on the twenty one day ultimatum issued by the body of doctors in Nigeria.
