The Nigerian Army has finally release Nollywood veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu after he was arrested over Biafra outfit.
The Daily Page learnt that the actor was apprehended when he was sharing food to less privileged persons at Upper Iweka Road, Onitsha.
Afterwards, two soldiers approached him and dragged to him to the Army Barack.
The Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, confirmed the arrest of the actor, saying he was arrested for inciting members of the public and soliciting support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Giving update, popular human activist on Facebook said the actor has been released, today, October 8th.
He announced, “#Chinwentalagu has been released by HQ Nigerian Army.
He was release still wearing the clothe ?
IPOB was proscribed and not Biafra. The clothe he was wearing is not Army Camouflage.
