No fewer than eight people were killed in a road accident that happened in Bauchi on Saturday.

According to him, the road accident occurred at 9.30 p.m. in Goltukurwa Village along Dass-Bauchi Road, involving an Opel Vectra Car with plate number AA 954 GYD and one Tipper Mercedes Benz with plate number NIN 279 SA.
The Sector Commander, who stated that it took around seven minutes for Corps men to arrive at the scene and clean the site, blamed the disaster on overloading, a speed violation, and a head-on collision.
He stated that the crash included nine persons, including two males, six females, and a male youngster.
Abdullahi, on the other hand, stated that all eight passengers in the Opel Vectra Car that collided with the tipper died, leaving just the tipper’s driver, Abubakar Mohammed, unharmed.
The FRSC chief stated that his staff had cleared the obstructions at the crash site, and that the bodies of the deceased had also been transported to the Dass General Hospital.
This is the month of December, and we have constantly warned motorists in the state about the dangers of speeding and overloading.
I’d like to use this occasion to remind motorists to constantly be aware of all traffic rules and regulations, as well as weather conditions, before setting out on their journeys.
They should also remember that only living spirits, not the dead, will be present to celebrate Christmas and New Year, he said.
