Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale has revealed that Burna Boy went to Grammy because of him.
This was disclosed in an old interview that surfaced online. In the video, Shatta Wale explained how he cared for Burna Boy when he was struggling.
According to him, he gave him his houses, cars, and everything when he came to his country, Ghana.
Speaking on Shatta Wale’s collaboration with Burna Boy, a radio personality said in the video, “Shatta Wale played a vital role in Burna Boy’s life with his track, Hossan featuring Burna Boy. That track shot Burna Boy to fame.
“But it looks like the industry is not aware. We don’t want to give him that credit. I remember how Burna Boy came to Ghana.”
Shatta Wale interrupted, saying “He stayed for about 5 months here in Ghana. I gave him my house, cars, and everything. Like, he was really struggling but our industry doesn’t want to accept that.
“If I don’t go for Grammy, people should know that Burna Boy went there for me. That is a Ghanaian celebration, African celebration.” Watch the video here.
