President Donald Trump and his wife have left the White House for the last time on Wednesday, before his successor Joe Biden will be sworn into office.
Donald Trump skipped the inauguration of the 46th US president in an extraordinary break with tradition.
In a new video, Trump, 74, and First Lady Melania Trump walked a short red carpet while a small crowd waved goodbye to them.
They also spoke with supporters before they boarded Air Force One for the last time as president, en route to his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida.
“I just want to say goodbye,” Trump told the gathering, calling his time in office “the honor of a lifetime.”
