The Nigerian Army, on Wednesday, refuted a report alleging that some serving officers are planning to storm Abuja, to protest unpaid emoluments and poor working conditions.
Brigadier General, Director Army public relations officer, Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement described the reports as baseless, unsubstantiated and an attempt by some faceless enemies to damage th image of the military.
He went further to say that officers and men of the service witnessed exceptional positive changes in moral and physical components of th Force.
The statement further explained that the Nigeria army under the current leadership have provided a conductive enablement for officers and men, which has in all way motivated them to work tirelessly with all the logistics equipment that has been injected into the theatres of operations.
He said the army had provided walfare packages, operational allowances, prompt payment of salaries, Medical facilities, as well as walfare flight to reduce burden of troops traveling in and out of their theatres to see their family.
Onyema said the NA has remained a symbol of national unity and cannot afford to be divided along ethnic or religious lines.
