President Buhari has announced the appointment of the Deputy Inspector-General, DIG, Usman Alkali Baba as the Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, to State House correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday April 6.
Speaking on Usman’s appointment, he said the appointment was with immediate effect.
Recall that on February 4, President Buhari had extended the tenure of the immediate past police boss, Mohammed Adamu for three months, after the expiration of his tenure.
