Yemi Osinbajo, the vice President of Nigeria on Wednesday decorated Usman Alkali Baba as acting Inspector General of Police.
The event took place at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Usman who was born in 1963, has taking over from Mohammed Adamu as the next police boss.
He is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano, and University of Maiduguri.
Usman joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1988 was the deputy Inspector General of Police.
