Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka aka Baba Ijesha is set to be released from police custody on Friday.
Recall that Baba Ijesha was arrested for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl over the course of 7 years on April 22th.
Also, there claims that the CCTV footage showed Baba Ijesha doing the act.
According to a new report by Punch Newspaper, a senior policer in Lagos State told the publication that Baba Ijesha would be release soon.
The police source added that the ongoing strike by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, which has made it impossible for the courts to sit.
Speaking on the rape saga, Police said the the CCTV footage which has been assessed never showed Baba Ijesha defiling her but only showed him touching the victim’s body.
