The 27 students abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State, have on Tuesday, May 5 regained their freedom by their abductors.
The Daily Page reports that bandits stormed the school situated in Afaka along the Kaduna International Airport Road on March 11.
Afterwards, the bandits abducted 39 students and also demanded N500 million as a ransom for their release.
However, the bandits earlier freed ten of the 39 abducted students and according to Daily Trust reports, the release of the remaining students was facilitated by Sheikh Ahmed Gumi dialogue committee with support from former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
