An unidentified woman has reportedly abandoned her child (girl),who is believed to be three years old at St. Joseph Catholic church, Akumazi Unuocha in Ika North East local government of Delta State.
According to the Ika weekly newspaper on Monday, July 19th. The priest in charge of the parish revealed that he went to attend a meeting at Issele-Uku and was informed about the abandoned child when he returned and he immediately informed the police about it.
The cleric also mentioned that the girl was taken to Asaba where she was handed over to an orphanage home.
