On the 12th of August, 2021, Wizkid took to his Instagram page where he hinted his fans about a remix of his song, Essence to be dropped, today.
Essence, Wizkid’s song which was released on 30 October 2020 as the 11th track from his fourth studio album, Made in Lagos is the first ever Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200.
The song is liked by many international celebrities including Kylie Jenner, Marcelo, Justin Bieber and others.
Since its release, the music video of Essence has garnered over 21 million views on YouTube.
