Arsenal to give Arteta £180m to spend on transfers

According to the UK Sun, Arsenal will give manager Mikel Arteta a £180 million transfer budget next summer, in what would be a record transfer window for the club.

Stan Kroenke, the majority owner of Arteta, would be putting his faith in the company once more.

Kroenke is eager to continue the revamp of Arsenal’s squad by injecting monies into the club.

Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak, Everton midfielder Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves have all been identified as potential future targets.

Calvert-Lewin is valued at £60 million, while Isak has a £75 million release clause.

Arsenal would have to pay another £45 million to entice Neves away from Wolves.

The targets, according to Arteta, are young, motivated athletes with the ability to take them “to the next level.”

Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Nuno Tavares were all purchased for £150 million by Arteta last summer.

At the Emirates, the new hires have mainly struck the ground running.

Arteta is under pressure to lead the squad back into the Champions League, and a place in the competition might be the difference between them bringing in their three main targets.

Following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona, the head coach has made it clear that finding a new forward is a top priority.

The former Borussia Dortmund man was allowed to leave on a free transfer.

His exit, though, is expected to save Arsenal roughly £20million.
