Arsenal vs Liverpool: Owen predicts winner of Carabao semi-final second leg tie

Michael Owen, a former Manchester United striker, has predicted the outcome of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg tie against Liverpool on Thursday.

Arsenal and Liverpool drew 0-0 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield last week.

The winner of the Carabao Cup semi-final between Arsenal and Liverpool will face Chelsea in the final.

Chelsea recently knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 aggregate victory.

“I have to say, I was impressed by Arsenal’s performance last week,” Owen told BetVictor when asked for his predictions.

To play for so long with ten men and hold out was, to say the least, un-Arsenal, he noted.

He explained that Liverpool dominated Brentford and should have scored a lot more goals than they did.

Salah and Mane were clearly absent, but Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jota shone throughout the game.

“I believe Arsenal will have more possession of the ball, but Liverpool will be dangerous on the break.” Liverpool wins 2-1.”

The match between Arsenal and Liverpool will begin at 8.45 p.m.
