Arsenal is on the verge of making their first summer transfer window signing.
Arsenal is closing in on a £21.75 million deal for Bologna defender Aaron Hickey, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
According to the Italian tabloid, Hickey’s transfer is now’very likely,’ and Arsenal has already made a bid for the midfielder in the area of £21.75 million.
Hickey moved to Serie A from Hearts when he was barely 17 years old.
Scotland’s international has now made 48 appearances for Bologna, scoring five goals in the process.
Given that he is an attacking left-back, Hickey has been compared to Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson.
Despite the rivalry at full-back, the 19-year-old has already earned two caps for his country.
