Asamoah Gyan, a Ghanaian legend, has reacted to his country’s ouster from the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Gyan, who has 109 caps for Ghana and is the all-time best scorer with 51 goals, also stated that captain Andrew Ayew is the only player in the team with a killer instinct.

Recall that Ghana was knocked out of the 2021 AFCON in the group stages after a 3-2 loss to debutants Comoros on Tuesday night.

The Black Stars had one point going into their last Group C match and needed to win to advance.

However, they conceded an early goal, and after Ayew was sent off in the 25th minute, the Black Stars lost at full time.

Gyan reacted by saying he was “devastated and stunned” by Ghana’s exit from the 2021 AFCON.

“Andrew Ayew is the only one in the team who has the killer instinct,” Gyan told SuperSport.

He questioned the mentality of the team and noted that he saw the real Ghana when they were down to ten men.
