Nigerian senator, Shehu Sani has revealed what President Buhari needs to do to resolve the over 5-month ASUU strike.
The Daily Page recalls that Buhari had directed the Education minister to Adamu Adamu, to resolve in two weeks.
He stated this, in a meeting he had with some stakeholders in Abuja on Tuesday, July 19th.
Reacting to this development, Senator Shehu faulted Buhari’s directive of handing down an ultimatum to the minister of Education.
Given the way forward, he opined that the President should direct the Minister of Finance to release funds needed to address the demands of the striking lecturers.
Shehu Sani tweeted, “The President don’t need to give the Education Minister two weeks to resolve the ASUU issues. All the president need to do is to direct the finance minister to release the funds needed to address the issues.”
