A former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General in Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, has been sworn in as the new deputy governor of Oyo state.
Lawal, a native of Kishi in Oke Ogun geo-political zone, was sworn in by the State Chief Judge, Justice Muktair Abimbola SAN.
He also took oath of allegiance and oath of office in a ceremony took place in Ibadan on Monday.
Lawal, until his appointment, was the chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
The Daily Page recalls that Oyo state House of Assembly impeached the former Deputy Governor of the state, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, for misconduct and misappropriation of funds among other allegations, leveled against him.
