Biodun Oyebanji resigns, joins gubernatorial race
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Biodun Oyebanji, the Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, has resigned, just as he announced his intention to run for governor in the state&#8217;s upcoming election.</span></h4>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Yinka Oyebode, the Governor of Ekiti State&#8217;s Chief Press Secretary, made the announcement on Friday in a statement headed &#8220;Ekiti SSG Oyebanji Resigns From Cabinet.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has accepted the resignation of Hon Biodun Oyebanji, Secretary to the State Government, from his cabinet, the statement read.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The resignation, which was communicated to the Governor in a letter dated December 3, 2021, will take effect on Tuesday, December 7th.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Oyebanji&#8217;s departure as Secretary to the State Government was based on his desire to run for governor in the state&#8217;s upcoming election.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">In accepting Oyebanji&#8217;s resignation, Governor Fayemi commended him for his outstanding contributions to the administration from its beginning in 2018 and wished him well in his future endeavors.</span></p>
