The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has stepped down from his position on Thursday, 7th July 2022, after being pressured to quit.
Reportedly concurring to resign but still stay in office until summer, during which a prime minister will be chosen to replace him, Boris Johnson woke up to a riot on Thursday morning, 7th July 2022, wanting him to resign immediately.
Recall that Boris overcame a vote of no confidence on the argument that his party<span;> parliamentary majority from 2019 general election mandated him to stay.
Labour Party leader, Keir Starmer has said that it was good newsthat Boris has stepped down as Prime Minister of the country.
He added that there was no need to change Tory but there is need of a proper change of government.
Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace, has pledged that primary functions of government would continue.
He has said that people still have duties to protect the country notwithstanding who is the Prime Minister.
