The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari left the ongoing ASUU strike for him to urgently resolve.
He made this known to the public while meeting with members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
He said, “We initially thought of using back channels to engage the leadership of ASUU but now President Buhari has thrown down the Gauntlet. He has even shown his lamentation in the last 48 hours and as a result of that he had left the job open for our intervention.”
The Daily Page recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier urged Nigerians to beg ASUU striking members to call off their industrial strike.
