Muazu Sambo has been sworn in as the Minister of State for Works and Housing by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The brief ceremony took place soon before the National Security Council meeting in the Executive Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sale Mamman, the previous Minister of Power, was succeeded in the Federal Executive Council by Sambo.
After screening, the Senate confirmed Sambo’s candidacy as a minister-designate on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Speaking to State House Correspondents following his inauguration, Sambo committed to living up to the President’s trust and to work hard to serve Nigerians.
He felt elated, but also felt a great feeling of duty, he had remarked. He prayed to God Almighty to grant him the strength and knowledge needed to fulfill the faith and confidence that Mr. President has placed in him.
He reassure Mr. President that his trust in him will not be misplaced. He promised Nigerians that he will carry out his duties as a minister of the federal government in accordance with the oath of office that was just administered to him, and that he will assist Mr. President in propelling this country ahead.
