CAF releases tournament’s Best XI
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Best XI for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, has been announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).</span></h4>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Following the end of the competition in Egypt on Sunday night, CAF announced the 2021 AFCON Best XI in a tweet via their Twitter handle.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">No Nigerian players, including Moses Simon, who had an excellent tournament, made the Best XI or reserve bench.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Cameroon featured four players in the roster, including the tournament&#8217;s best goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, Saliou Ciss, Nampalys Mendy, and Most Valuable Player Sadio Mane.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Remember that the Teranga Lions of Senegal won the AFCON final 4-2 on penalties in Yaoundé&#8217;s Olembé stadium in Cameroon over the weekend.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The last match of the AFCON 2021 finished in a 0-0 stalemate.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Senegal won their first-ever AFCON after Sadio Mane netted the game-winning penalty against Egypt.</span></p>
