Champions League fixture moved over Queen’s death
<h4><span style="font-size: 20px;">The Champions League match between Rangers and Napoli has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 14 at 8 p.m.</span></h4>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">Due to limitations in enforcement resources following the death of <a href="https://thedailypage.ng/breaking-uks-queen-elizabeth-is-dead/">Queen Elizabeth II</a>, the game was originally planned to be played the day before but has been delayed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-34376" src="https://thedailypage.ng/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/57097e20-2e98-11ed-855e-3901024449c1_copy_1080x630-300x175.jpg" alt="Queen The Daily Page News" width="300" height="175" /></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">“This is due to the severe limitations on policing resources and organisational challenges related to the ongoing events surrounding the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">“Rangers, of course, recognise this switch in date will inconvenience a number of our loyal supporters, and refunds will be available to those unable to attend the match,” a <a href="https://thedailypage.ng/breaking-uks-queen-elizabeth-is-dead/">statement</a> from Ranger said</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">Additionally, the club made it clear that there won&#8217;t be any Napoli supporters at the game, which will enable them to provide more tickets to spectators who want to watch Giovanni van Bronckhorst&#8217;s team.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">To promote &#8220;sporting integrity,&#8221; the same will apply to the away game.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">Rangers suffered a 4-0 defeat in their inaugural Champions League match away to Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 20px;">But in the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Napoli defeated Liverpool 4-1.</span></p>
