Comedian AY drags ThisDay Newspaper to court over defamation

<p>Nigerian stand up Comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun popularly known by his stage name, AY has sued Nigerian popular Newspaper, ThisDay newspaper over defamation.</p>
<p><em>The Daily Page </em>learnt that the newspaper published a report on their website on Sunday 21st February 2012 with the headline: “PR Job Gone Sour: Why Friends Of Belema Oil Founder, Tein Jack Rich, Aren’t Happy With AY The Comedian”.</p>
<p>However, AY has served the ThisDay newspaper with a court documents, demanding a immediate retraction of the post by his attorneys, <strong>Pentagon partners.</strong></p>
<p>&#8220;Bloggers on the other hand have continued to capitalise on these social cancer to drive traffic to their platforms without any form of fact findings or verification,&#8221; he captioned the court documents.</p>
