    Court grants N1M bail each to detained Dowen college students

    A Yaba Chief Magistrates’ court sitting in Lagos has granted bail to detained Dowen College students.

    Court grants N1M bail each to detained Dowen college students

    Recall that, on December 9th, Police arrested some students of Dowen College and detained in a juvenile centerover the death of their schoolmate, 11-year-old, Sylvester Oromoni.

    And they were charged of homicide as they were accused of torturing Sylvester Oromoni who died on November 30th.

    At the hearing of their bail application today, Chief magistrate Olatunbosun Adeola granted the defendants a bail in the sum of N1 million each.

    The court also asked the defendants to produce two sureties each in like sum, adding that one of each of the defendants’ sureties must be their parent, and must swear an affidavit of compliance.

    The Chief magistrate also asked all the defendants  to submit their international passports to the court.
