COVID-19: NUC orders universities to stop academic activities indefinitely

<p>Following the increase of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, National Universities Commission (NUC) has ordered all Vice Chancellor of universities to stop academic activities.</p>
<p>This is coming after ASUU suspended their strike of 9 months old on December 23rd, 2020.</p>
<p>According to a circular by the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Agency, Chris Maiyaki, said that classrooms, conferences, seminars and hostel accommodation are to be put on hold.</p>
<p>He added that varsities across the nation remain closed till further notice.</p>
