COVID-19: NUC orders universities to stop academic activities indefinitely

<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1357" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;thedailypage&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;12&sol;images-2020-12-26T094451&period;406&period;jpeg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"786" height&equals;"390" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Following the increase of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria&comma; National Universities Commission &lpar;NUC&rpar; has ordered all Vice Chancellor of universities to stop academic activities&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This is coming after ASUU suspended their strike of 9 months old on December 23rd&comma; 2020&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to a circular by the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Agency&comma; Chris Maiyaki&comma; said that classrooms&comma; conferences&comma; seminars and hostel accommodation are to be put on hold&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He added that varsities across the nation remain closed till further notice&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
