US President Donald Trump has on Wednesday called for peace as Anti Biden protesters stormed US capitol grounds.
The Daily Page learnt that thousands of Trump supporters stormed meeting, while the senates debate Biden’s certification ahead of Biden’s inauguration ceremony on Jan. 20.
The protesters who were gathered at the “Save America March” overturned barricades and clashed with police on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol and the Police in US used teargas and pepper spray to chase them away.
Speaking on the development, US President Donald Trump took to his official Twitter handle to call for peace.
He tweeted, “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”
Following this development, US Capitol Police has enforced a curfew in Washington, D.C in order to control Trump’s supporters clash with police.
According to the Muriel Bowser, Mayor of the United Stated capital, the curfew takes effect from 6pm on Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.
“No person, other than persons designated by the Mayor, shall walk, bike, run, loiter, stand, or motor by car or other mode of transport upon any street, alley, park, or other public place within the District,” a statement read.
