Deaths of 2021: Nigerian actors, billionaires, we have lost this year

<p>A difficult year of 2020 saw the deaths of Nigerian notable icons, Actress <strong>Chizobo Boye</strong>, Emilia Dike, <strong>Ibidunni Ighodalo</strong>, <strong>Dan Foster</strong> as well as the devastating loss of Nollywood icons and stars to COVID-19.</p>
<p>As the pandemic rages on, we are honoring the Nigerian celebrities we have lost thus far in 2021.</p>
<p>1. <strong>Veteran actress Orisabunmi</strong></p>

<p>Nigerian Yoruba actress, Orisabunmi whose real name is Folake Aremu died after a brief illness at age 60.</p>
<p>The veteran actress died on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 in Ibadan, Oyo state.</p>
<p>2. <strong>Mrs Janet Ademola</strong></p>

<p>Mrs Janet Ademola, the sister of veteran actress, Orisabunmi died on Jan 8, 2021.</p>
<p>She also died after a brief illness.</p>
<p>3. <strong>Steve Onisola</strong></p>

<p>Steve Onisola, Orisabunmi&#8217;s immediate elder brother died on Thursday, barely a day after the death of Orisabunmi.</p>
<p>He also died after a brief illness.</p>
<p>4. <strong>Bolu Akin &#8211; Olugbade</strong></p>

<p>Nigerian billionaire, Bolu Akin Olugbade died at age 64.</p>
<p>He died on Wednesday, June 13, 2021 of COVID-19 complications.</p>
<p>5. <strong>Sotonye Green</strong></p>

<p>Nigerian Nollywood actress, Sotonye Green died on Thursday, January 14th, 2021.</p>
<p>She died of COVID-19 complications.</p>
<p>6. <strong>Er<span style="color: #222222;">nest Asuzu</span></strong></p>

<p>Nollywood actor Ernest Asuzu has passed on. He died on Thursday January 27th, 2021.</p>
<p>Before his death, Ernest had battled with his health for years after he suffered a stroke. His health challenge stopped his acting career for some years as he could not walk.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Ernest fainted on Tuesday evening and never woke up.</p>
<p><strong>May their souls rest in perfect peace.</strong></p>
