Nigerian Disk Jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy is BBC’s morning breakfast show host.
The 29 years old singer took to her social media on Monday morning, December 6th, 2021 where she shared the good news.

Announcing on her Facebook page, DJ Cuppy wrote, “?HUGE NEWS? After being away from radio for a while, I am super excited and proud to announce that I will be joining the BBC family! Hosing.
“And will be hosting the breakfast show every single Sunday ! Everybody knows how important BBC 1xtra is to the culture and it’s a privilege and honour to now be apart of that.
“I am so happy that my cupcakes and fans all around the world will be able to tune in using BBC Sounds. Let’s get this show on the road & let’s #CuppyDat ??.”
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
