Michelle Abesin known as DJ Michelle has spoken out about the death threats she has been receiving.

She disclosed this on Sunday morning while speaking with The Punch Newspaper Sunday Scoop.

Recently, DJ Michelle had allegedly drowned at Lafiaji beach, Epe, Lagos.

However, after she was rescued from the river, a lot of people saw this as a publicity stunt, a way DJ Michelle could use to gain attention.

In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, Michelle strongly denied that it was not a publicity stunt.

Speaking further, she said that she went to the beach with her sister and friends to have fun.

She added that she was making a video close to the water when the water swept her away.

And the next thing she remembered was people surrounding her and pressing water off her body.

After she woke up, she was taken to the hospital where doctors told her that her alcohol intake could be responsible for her memory loss.

Speaking on death threats, DJ Michelle she received a lot of death threats after the incident.

“I have had to put a hold on my career and not do a lot of things because of this incident.

People have also been threatening me, saying that since I created a publicity stunt that I was dead, they would kill me for real. I have had to move from my former home because of that,” she told Sunday Scoop.

In a new Instagram post, DJ Michelle expressed her sincere apologies for the misinformation shared across Social media platforms about her near-death experience. See her post below:
