FA set to punish Man Utd for poor conduct

Manchester United has been accused of failing to guarantee that their players behaved properly during Tuesday’s 2-0 win against Brighton by FA.

On Wednesday, the Football Association, also known as FA verified this.

According to FA, United’s players confronted referee Peter Bankes, who had initially given Brighton’s Lewis Dunk a yellow card for grabbing Anthony Elanga’s shoulder in the 53rd minute.

Bruno Fernandes, who subsequently scored the game’s second goal, was given a yellow card for his objections.

The VAR then asked Bankes to reconsider the judgment before changing Dunk’s yellow card to a straight red after watching a replay on the pitchside monitor.

United has until Monday to react to the charge, according to the FA.
