FG declares bandits as terrorists, issues gazette

<h4><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">The Federal Government has formally declared bandits as terrorists in Nigeria&period;<&sol;span><&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17192" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;thedailypage&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2022&sol;01&sol;nigeria-president-buhari-covid-19&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"1600" height&equals;"900" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">This was made known in a Gazette titled &OpenCurlyQuote;Terrorism &lpar;Prevention&rpar; Proscribition Order Notice&comma; 2021&comma; signed by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice&comma; Mr&period; Abubakar Malami &lpar;SAN&rpar;&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">According to the gazette&comma; the bandits will face trial under the Terrorism &lpar;Prevention&rpar; Act 2011&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">In the gazette&comma; the Nigerian government warned its citizens not to participate in any manner whatsoever in any form of activities involving the proscribed group&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">This is coming a few weeks after Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja declared bandits as terrorists&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;
