Second republic Senate President in Nigeria, Senator Joseph Wayas is dead.
The former Senate President died at aged 83 in a London Hospital.
Before his demise, Wayas who was born on 21 May 1941, was Senate President between 1979 and 1983.
He attended the Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha for his secondary school education.
Afterwards, Wayas studied at the Higher Tottenham Technical College, London, the West Bronwich College of Commerce, Science and Technology, Birmingham and Aston University.
