Former Senate President, Joseph Wayas is dead
<h4><span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800); font-size: 14pt;">Second republic Senate President in Nigeria, Senator Joseph Wayas is dead.</span></h4>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The former Senate President died at aged 83 in<span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);"> a London Hospital. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Before his demise, Wayas who was born on 21 May 1941, was <span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);">Senate President between 1979 and 1983.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He attended the Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha for his secondary school education.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Afterwards, Wayas <span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);">studied at the Higher Tottenham Technical College, London, the West Bronwich College of Commerce, Science and Technology, Birmingham and Aston </span>University.</span></p>
