Ghana appoints former Premier League manager as technical advisor
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Ghana Football Association has announced the appointment of Chris Hughton, a former Newcastle United manager, as their new technical adviser ahead of their Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff.</span></h4>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The GFA also named Otto Addo, a former player, as head coach, with George Boateng and Mas-Ud Dramani joining the new technical team.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Following a meeting of the GFA&#8217;s executive committee on Wednesday, the organization made the statement.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">&#8220;Former Newcastle United and Brighton &; Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has been appointed as Technical Advisor to the newly established Black Stars Technical staff led by Otto Addo,&#8221; the Ghana FA confirmed on Wednesday in a statement.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Ghana and Nigeria will face off in March for a spot in the World Cup, which will take place later this year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Nigeria had previously announced that interim coach Austine Eguavoen will lead the Super Eagles and that former Barcelona star Emmanuel Amuneke would join the technical staff.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has also announced that the two-legged playoff encounter will be played in reverse at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.</span></p>
