Hudson-Odoi takes over Arjen Robben’s record at Chelsea
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Callum Hudson-Odoi, a Chelsea midfielder, has surpassed Arjen Robben&#8217;s record of ten assists in the Premier League, becoming the club&#8217;s youngest player to do so.</span></h4>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Hudson-Odoi,</strong> 21, won a penalty in the first half of Chelsea&#8217;s 3-1 Boxing Day triumph over Aston Villa, giving him his 10th Premier League assist since his debut in January 2018.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">At the age of 20, Robben joined Chelsea at the age of 20. Since he joined the club, he had nine assists in his first Premier League season before adding his tenth at the start of the 2005/2006 campaign.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Meanwhile, when Chelsea trounced Aston Villa at Villa Park, Thomas Tuchel was impressed with Hudson-Odoi.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Tuchel stated at his post-match press conference that he was never disappointed with his performance against Steven Gerrard&#8217;s team.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Tuchel acknowledged to taking a chance on Hudson-Odoi because he had only recently returned from Covid.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Meanwhile, he will be hoping to keep up his fine form for Chelsea when they face Brighton on Wednesday.</span></p>
