The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has informed all students and parents to ignore ASUU strike, stating that lectures are still ongoing in the institution.
This is coming after the OAU chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had on Monday announced that they have embarked on strike over the refusal of the institution’s management to pay staff earned academic allowance.
Reacting to the new development, Abiodun Olarewaju, the Public Relations Officer of the university, stated none of the academic staff in OAU are on strike.
Also, the university management appreciated the lecturers who have been teaching and attending to students.
