I’m the only one from my family with a master’s degree – DJ Cuppy
Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy has revealed that she is the only one from her family with Master’s degree.
She made this known in an exclusive chat with Amaka Studio on Tuesday, 12th July, 2022.
According to her, her parents really ensured that her and her siblings get the best education.
When asked on what drives her to push boundaries academically, like currently pursuing her second master’s degree at Oxford University.
She said, “I think that in life we must never, ever stop learning”, Cuppy muses. “First of all, being Nigerian has taught me how important it is to not just have drive, but also have substance. My parents really put it upon themselves to make sure me and my siblings got the best education. I’m the only one from my family with a master’s degree – not one, but two masters!”.
DJ Cuppy who is the daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, graduated from King’s College London in July 2014, with a degree in business and economics.
In 2015, she earned a master’s degree in music business from New York University.
As from July 2022, Cuppy is enrolled and pursuing a master’s degree in African Studies at the University of Oxford.
The Daily Page recalls that Oxford University congratulated Cuppy on her thesis completion.
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
