Italy’s 1982 world cup hero, Paolo Rossi dies at 64

<p><strong>Paolo Rossi, Italy&#8217;s world cup hero and Italian soccer had died at aged 64, his wife confirmed on Instagram.</strong></p>
<p>On 9th December, 2020, the wife of Rossi, Federica Cappelletti announced the demise of her husband as she posted a photo of herself and her husband, captioning it &#8220;Per Sempre&#8221; which translates to &#8221; forever&#8221;.</p>
<p>In the wife&#8221;s post, she did not reveal the cause of Rossi&#8217;s death.</p>
<p>As per media reports, Paolo Rossi had been suffering from an incurable disease.</p>

<p>Paolo Rossi who was born on 23rd September 1956, died on 9th December, 2020.</p>
<p>He was an Italian professional footballer who also made Italy to win the 1982 FIFA world cup title.</p>
<p>Before his death, Paolo Rossi is named Italy&#8217;s top scorer in world cup history.</p>
<p>He is also regarded as one of the greatest and most prolific Italian forwards of all time.</p>
<p>Paolo Rossi is survived by his wife, Federica Cappelletti and 3 children, Alessandro Rossi, Sofia Elena Rossi and Maria Vittoria.</p>
