Joe Biden sworn-in as 46th U.S President

<p>Joe Biden has been sworn in as the President of the United States at the inauguration ceremony in Washington DC at exactly 5:48 pm Nigerian time.</p>
<p>Mr Biden who is now the 46th president of the United States took oath which was administered by Justice John G. Roberts, Jr.</p>

<p>Prior to the 46th president’s swearing in, Ms. Harris, using a bible, was sworn in as vice president by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.</p>
<p>Kamala Harris is now the first female vice President in the history of US.</p>
<p>As expected, former President Donald Trump and his family were absent while Mike Pence, the former Vice President, fulfilled his promise to attend.</p>
<p>Former Presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush Jr, Barack Obama and their wives attended the inauguration ceremony.</p>
