A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, has ordered the remand of Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore, and four other activists in Kuje Correctional Centre.
The court said that Sowore and others will remain in Kuje Prison pending the hearing of their bail applications which will be heard tomorrow, January 5, 2020.
Recall that Sowore and four other activists were arrested by police for protesting against bad governance on New year’s Eve in Abuja.
The Daily Page reported that Nigerian government arraigned Sowore alongside four others to court on Monday on three charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.
However, Sowore and his members pleaded not guilty.
