JUST IN: Court remands Sowore, four others in Kuje prison

<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1715" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;thedailypage&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2021&sol;01&sol;5ff31b65c6a6c&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"1040" height&equals;"780" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Wuse Zone 2&comma; Abuja&comma; has ordered the remand of Sahara Reporters Publisher&comma; Omoyele Sowore&comma; and four other activists in Kuje Correctional Centre&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The court said that Sowore and others will remain in Kuje Prison pending the hearing of their bail applications which will be heard tomorrow&comma; January 5&comma; 2020&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Recall that Sowore and four other activists were arrested by police for protesting against bad governance on New year&&num;8217&semi;s Eve in Abuja&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Daily Page reported that Nigerian government arraigned Sowore alongside four others to court on Monday on three charges of criminal conspiracy&comma; unlawful assembly&comma; and attempting to incite others&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>However&comma; Sowore and his members pleaded not guilty&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
