JUST IN: Kwara govt sacks 2414 teachers, gives reason

<p><strong>Kwara State Governor, AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq has sacked 2414 teachers who were employed during the adminstration of the former governor, Abdulfathai Ahmed.</strong></p>
<p>AbdulRaham explained that the 2414 teachers employed by the State Universal Basic Education Board(KWSUBEB) are not qualified for the job as they don&#8217;t have the required certificate to teach.</p>
<p>In a press released by the press secretary of ministry of Education &; Human Capital Development titled Kwara Govt takes stand on 2019 SUBEB workers, revealed that the state government has decided to start new employment process all over again in January 2021.</p>
<p>The state government added that eligible 2414 person will be able to apply through the new application portal, noting that every applicant will go through rigorous screenings.</p>
<p>Also, Governor AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq ordered the salaries of 594 person withheld since June 2020 to be paid immediately.</p>
