Kano State bans movies showing kidnapping, drug addiction

<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt">The Kano Film Censorship Board has banned showing or selling of movies that display kidnappings&comma; drug use and addiction and also the stealing of phones in the state&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt">This was made known to the public by Ismaila Naaba Afakallah&comma; the Board Executive Secretary&comma; explaining that the prohibition was necessary because the above mentioned issues were becoming infamous among the citizens&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt">He added that not everyone is able to fathom the fictitiousness of movies and therefore mistaking it for reality&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt">He said&colon;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt">&&num;8221&semi; Henceforth we will not allow films displaying kidnappings&comma; drug addiction and GSM phone snatching which has now taken toll on Kano residents&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt">&&num;8221&semi; Not every young man has the tenacity of understanding  fictitious films&&num;8217&semi; actions&period; Somebody may mistake it as a reality and may go ahead to practice it&comma; therefore&comma; we must act now before it is too late&&num;8221&semi; he added&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;
