Lagos govt shuts down Dowen College
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Lagos State government shuts down Dowen College situated in Lekki over the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr who was brutalized by some students.</span></h4>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">This was made known in a statement signed by Ganiu Lawal, the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, of the Lagos State Ministry of Education.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">In the statement, Commissioner<span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);"> for Education, Folasade Adefisayo stated that the school will be closed pending the outcome of police investigation.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Recall that <span style="color: var(--c-contrast-800);">Oromoni was allegedly tortured by students for refusing to join cult group. Unfortunately, he died in the hospital.</span></span></p>
