Lagos records 654 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1723" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;thedailypage&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2021&sol;01&sol;20210105&lowbar;071438&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"1080" height&equals;"1080" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Lagos State has recorded a spike in COVID-19 cases with 654 in the last 24 hours&comma; increasing the state’s infection figures to 31&comma;975&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control &lpar;NCDC&rpar; recorded 1204 new coronavirus infections in the country&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This was made known to the public by the NCDC via its verified twitter handle on Monday night&comma; December 4th&comma; 2021&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the public health agency&comma; Lagos recorded the highest number of infections for the day&comma; with 654 cases&comma; followed by FCT&comma; Plateau&comma; and Kaduna states which reported 200&comma; 60&comma; and 54 cases&comma; respectively&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The other states affected are Kano&comma; with 40 new infections&comma; Rivers-30&comma; Edo-28&comma; Nasarawa-25&comma; Kebbi-19&comma; Bauchi-18&comma; Oyo-13&comma; Akwa Ibom-12&comma; Bayelsa-11&comma; Ogun-11&comma; Delta-9&comma; Abia-8&comma; Benue-5&comma; Imo-3&comma; Borno-2&comma; Sokoto-1&comma; Osun-1&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Till date&comma; 91&comma;351 cases had been confirmed&comma; 75&comma;699 discharged&comma; and 1&comma;318 deaths recorded in Nigeria so far&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
